What is MissAI and what can I do with it?
MissAI is an AI interactive fiction and character chat platform. Pick a genre and co-write an immersive long-form story with AI, jump into real-time conversations with thousands of virtual characters, run DnD-style text adventures, or use the visual editor to build your own characters, worlds and branching plots that the AI continues for you.
Do I need an account to try MissAI?
No. You can browse and try most features with no signup. To save progress, sync across devices, create content or unlock premium stories, register with email, Google or Apple in one tap.
How are AI interactive novels different from regular reading?
Traditional novels are linear. MissAI offers choices at key beats; the AI continues the plot from your decisions and remembers them across the entire story. The same novel can branch into very different arcs and endings depending on what you do.
Do AI characters really remember what I say?
Yes. Each AI character has its own memory module that retains your conversation history, relationship progress and key events. When you come back, the character continues from those memories and stays in character.
How do tabletop and text adventure modes work?
Pick a module and the AI becomes your dungeon master, describing scenes, advancing events and roleplaying NPCs. You declare actions in plain language; the AI resolves them in DnD style and weaves multi-session payoffs. Solo or up to 6-player sessions are supported.
Can I create my own characters or stories?
Absolutely. The visual editor lets you design avatars, persona, voice, relationships, world lore and key plot beats with no code. Publish to the public library, friends-only or keep it private.
Is it cross-device, and does progress sync?
Yes. MissAI ships as a web app, PWA and native apps for iOS / Android. One login syncs reading progress, conversation memory, drafts and bookmarks to the cloud, so you can pick up exactly where you left off on any device.
Which large language models do you use?
MissAI is multi-model: a routing engine selects the best model per scene based on length, complexity and character voice, keeping long sessions coherent. We continuously add stronger models as they become available.
Is MissAI free?
Core features (reading, chatting with AI characters, contributing to the community) are free. Premium features (top-tier models, ultra-long context, exclusive titles, ad-free experience, advanced creator tools) require a subscription or single-title purchase. Cancel anytime; remaining benefits stay active until the period ends.
Who owns the content I create?
You retain copyright over your original characters, worlds and plots. MissAI only displays and recommends them within the scope you grant. For commercial use or licensing, configure your own terms in the creator dashboard. See Copyright and Terms for details.
Is my private data safe?
All traffic is encrypted in transit. Conversations and personal data are stored with tiered protection and visible only to you by default. Export or permanently delete all your data anytime from Settings → Data Center. Read our Privacy Policy for the full details.
Are there age restrictions?
MissAI is for users 13 and older. Stories with mature themes require an additional 18+ confirmation and an opt-in content preference. Younger users and parents can use parental controls to restrict genres and daily usage time.
